(Mom holding Samantha on her first airplane ride!)This morning Jeff called me on his way to church and I was still sound asleep at 10:00 AM. So Mom, Samantha and I missed church. We had every intention of going to the Church of Christ down here but it just didn't work out. So we got up anyways and met Dee for brunch after she got out of church. We went to a place called Peaches...kind of like a First Watch. (While Jeff is off to a great start on his diet and workout regime, I am having chocolate chip pancakes!)
On our way back to our hotel mom drove me past a few houses that are for sale that she likes...I am still against her moving down here. Then we went back to our hotel room at the Tropical Breeze. They were supposed to have the Pack-n-Play there waiting for us since they did not have one available last night but it was not there. So I called the front desk and they said they were still looking for one. The pool was also closed so I asked them about that too and apparently some kid did a #2 in the pool and it would be closed for a few days. My mom just decided that this hotel was not right for us and we hopped in the car and went on a search. We found a place right on the Gulf of Mexico called Siesta Sands. The room is nicer and we are right on the beach. But this search and change over took up most of our day. We did not actually get on the beach until almost 4:30 PM. We put Samantha in her stroller and kept her in the shade...she slept most of the time on the beach.
We took showers and went to dinner at an Italian place called Demetrios...very good. Last we went to Publix to get a few groceries...came to Dee's to get on the Internet and then we are going back to our hotel to call it a night.
Today was our first full day away from Jeff...so sad.
