Amish Country

Mom and I took a little the girls on a little trip to Amish Country in Holmes County Ohio. When we got there, Samantha wanted to ride the luggage cart up to the room!

There was a balcony off our room and Samantha thought she was just like Rapunzel so she was trying to "throw down her hair"!

Sweet baby Natalie was just happy to be along for the ride:)

We went to a little farm and Samantha loved checking out the little ducklings!

Samantha was so gentle with the little ducks.

You could buy Fruit Loops to put down the tube and little monkeys at the other end would grab them and eat them. Samantha thought this was so cool, and she also wanted to eat some of the Fruit Loops herself.

There were these HUGE turtles just hanging out!

This baby camel was the same age as Natalie!

Samantha really liked seeing all the baby animals.  Since she has a baby sister she just connected to these animals and loved talking to them.

We took a ride thru the 200+ acre enclosure to feed the animals.  They give you buckets full of food so you can feed them as you go along.  Samantha wanted her bucket to be full at all times :)

She was so entranced by the whole experience!

This ostrich came up and leaned his long neck over the side of the wagon and helped himself to the food in Samantha's bucket. She thought this was just hilarious!

All of the animals were really friendly and this moose was no exception. He walked right up to the wagon to be fed.

The wagon was pulled by two big work horses! I was surprised they were not afraid of all the animals that were even bigger than they were.

I cannot remember what this animal is, but it had the coolest tongue ever!

Samantha holding on to her full bucket for dear life. Some of the animals would come up and just take the whole bucket from you and take it off to eat the whole thing!

Samantha was staring at all the animals up on the hill.

Samantha was worn out by the time we left and fell asleep in the car on the way back to the hotel.

Gram and her grand-daughters first thing in the morning. I love p.j. pictures!

Our hotel had a cute little play area for kids and we had to stop on our walk over to get this cute picture with the pretty tulips!

The Amish make these really cute play houses (very expensive) but the perfect size for little girls.

There was this little loft area inside that Samantha climbed up to

We went to Hershburgers and Samantha was drawn to the little puppies. I took these photo's and sent them to Jeff to see if he wanted us to bring one home. (He said NO WAY JOSE)

But she just loved holding and loving on these little puppies.

She fell asleep on the way home which I take as a ringing endorsement that she loved our mini vacation!  I know Gram and I loved it too. (Natalie was indifferent, LOL)
