Cute pics!
Tonight for dinner Jeff fed Samantha some Spaghetti-O's. She loved them and I think she wore as much of her dinner as she ate!Samantha had her 15 month check up today.
Today I went to get a Mani / Pedi. So I dropped Samantha off at the babysitters so I didn't have to drag her along...she would have been so bored! I picked out a really cool tealish green color! Which I thought would be perfect for fall. Cool huh?
After my appointment I went back to pick up Samantha and we met up with my mom, Aunt Vikki, Cindy and Ruth at Bob Evans! It is always fun having a girls lunch! Here Samantha was trying to give me a kiss!
After lunch I had to take her to her 15 month check up. Here she was playing n the waiting room before we got called back. Here are her stats:
Weight, 25 lbs 1 oz, 80th percentile
Height, 31 inches, 75th percentile
Head Circ, 19 inches, 95th percentile
He said she is right on track and we do not need to adjust her eating or drinking. Which is a great thing because she loves milk and drinks a ton of it. She did have to get 2 shots which she was not happy about but she was only upset for a couple minutes. Plus side...we do not have to go back for 3 months! Woo Hoo

Canopy Tour
Today Jeff and I went to the Hocking Hills Canopy Tour in Rockbridge, OH. It was our Anniversary present to each other. Here we were after we got all suited up and ready to go. We had a blast and think that everyone should go try this at least once! This video is Jeff coming down the zip line. You can see the Hocking River in the background.

Two Surprises

I will first let you all in on a little secret...Lauren and I are cheap. Well, maybe cheap is the wrong word, I like to say resourceful. So, when we decided that Samantha needed a winter coat we went over many options. We have acquired many baby items and pieces of clothing from yard sales, thrift stores, Craigslist (our best friend), etc. Yesterday we went to Jeffersonville Outlet mall and tried to find a nice winter coat for our baby. No luck. I don't really know which of us is cheaper but I had the not so bright idea to go to Easton as The North Face store is now open. I really was hoping to just browse but really had no plan to purchase what I expected to be a $100 coat to last just one season. Then...I laid eyes on the coat below. I take advantage of every opportunity I can to buy something not pink or purple (even though this coat is reversible and is pink plaid on the inside). I think Lauren just gave in and let me pick the color so I would agree to buy it. I also decided to buy 1 size up in hopes it will last two winters. As you can see below, I think Samantha loves her new coat.
(Here she is saying "Awwwww....")

(She is looking the price tag wondering if she's worth it...I think she is!)
Now for the second surprise. How did Samantha repay us for this new coat? She learned to take her own diaper off during her nap and pee over everything in her crib. Books, stuffed animals, you name it...pee! How unappreciative. After her nap and dinner, Lauren suggested we go to the park to allow her to play.

29 and Holding!
Tonight we went to Genji for my birthday dinner. Of course Jeff and I were uber early so we played with Samantha outside while we waited. We have had beautiful weather the past few days and it has been nice spending time outside.
Samantha loved giving me nose kisses!
I love this picture and that baby! (Not in that order.)
Samantha took this picture of Jeff. She really likes pushing the button on the camera then looking at the digital display.
Samantha was really into watching the cook. She was very fascinated by all the excitement. She even tried everything we ate...rice, zucchini, onions, steak, scallops, shrimp, chicken and bean sprouts! I swear we have not come across a food yet that she does not like. I really hope she will never turn into a picky eater!Wednesday, September 1, 2010
A very special day...
Three years ago today, I became the luckiest man in the world when Lauren became my wife. The last three years have without a doubt been the happiest of my life. Lauren is the most amazing person I have ever met and I could not ask for a greater wife. When I think of my relationship with my wife, the one word that comes to mind is effortless. That may not sound as romantic as it should but if you stop and think about it...think about how great it is to always be able to be yourself and not have to work to make things great; they just are. Our life has changed a lot and now with Samantha, we appreciate our time together more now than ever and our love continues to grow.
Today, Lauren bought Samantha this slide. As usual, she dove right in without fear and began to explore.

Not sure what she is looking at here but it's a cute picture.

She knows we're watching her.
