Getting ready for winter.

One of the things on my agenda this morning was to get Samantha a winter hat and gloves. I had a couple gift cards so I went out knowing it was ok to pay full price for something. I went to Old Navy and found a really cute matching set. When Jeff got home Samantha and I gave him a little fashion show of her new goodies.

She ran around the house with her mittens and and hat.

Park Day

When I am off work and get to spend all my time with Samantha I try and do fun stuff with her as much as possible. So on a beautiful day like today I wanted to get outside, and what better place to go than the park. She loved being my little independent girl and explore the whole playground.

She loved going up and down these stairs.

She always went down the slide on her belly and feet first.

Impromptu Photo Shoot

Today Samantha was putzing around playing in the living room while I was watching Oprah. She walked over to me with my camera and handed it to me. So, of course, I started taking pictures.

Showing off her smile!

Resting and posing...quite the multi-tasker!

What a difference 5 minutes can make.

This was Samantha right when Jeff picked her up from the baby sitter.

This is 5 minutes later.

More from our Friday Adventures!

After our morning adventures Samantha took a really long nap. She slept for over 3 hours and I thought she would be starving when she woke up. And since I love being outside I took her to McDonald's so that we could play in the play place once she was done. (Yes, that is a whole handful of fries, although she hardly ate anything at all.)

She loved climbing up and down the stairs.

Sitting in the Space Ship...and yes, I had to climb all the way in with her to get these pic's...and make sure she was safe of course!

Driving the space ship.

When we got home I brought both my girls out front to play. Maggie is actually a really good dog and doesn't run off or bark all day. And like I said before I am trying to show Samantha there is not reason to be scared of animals and bring the dogs around her more. After a couple minutes she was fine with Maggie and even petted her a few times.

Have I said I love Fall?

This morning I brought Buckeye in the house because he was barking; as usual. And Samantha actually seemed interested in him so I let them play. She thought it was funny when he "chased" her and she would chase him back.

Running full-speed-ahead; just to get the camera mind you.

Amanda and I planned a play date with our girls and we ended up taking them on a drive out to the country. We stopped at Lynd's fruit farm and picked up some apples and let the girls play.

They had this really big chair just waiting for a cute picture taking session. This one was my favorite.

I had to get in the big chair too!
