Samantha's 1st Haircut, er; trim!

Once Samantha's hair reached her booty we decided it was time for a cut.  When Samantha was born I swore I would wait until she went to kindergarden to get her hair cut.  But her hair has just grown so fast and is so thick I had to revise my plan.  When we told Samantha that she was going to get a hair cut she was really upset.  I thought at first her hang up was she thought her hair would be short and she likes to have long hair just like Rapunzel.  So when I told her we would just get it trimmed she was much happier.  The picture above was pre-hair cut and you can tell how long it was even though it was in a braid!

We took her to Cookie Cutters, a child's hair salon, and they let her pick out a movie to watch while she was getting her hair cut trim. She picked out Cinderella to watch and was really good.

She followed directions from the stylist really well; makes her momma proud.

Halfway through the cut and she was happy as could be.  Since this was her first hair cut trim, I bought the "baby's first hair cut" package.  They cut off almost 5 inches so the cute little curl that normally comes home with you was more like a mop of curls! My 1st baby is getting so big!  I don't know what I am going to do when she decides she wants her ears pierced!

Natalie is 8 Months old!

Since Miss Natalie has been mobile it has been hard to get her to sit still for more than 30 seconds. Hence the lack of quality on her 9 Month photo shoot! She was more interested in picking up the paper and eating it than smiling for the camera!

She has been crashing pretty hard these days since she is so active when she is awake!

Samantha's very first school picture! She is in the back row, 3rd from the left.

Surgery Day

Today Jeff had surgery on his left shoulder.  He has been having shoulder pain since last Christmas when he put Samantha's trampoline together. Since we hit our max out-of-pocket for our health insurance this year it only made since for him to have his shoulder looked at.  The doctor did an MRI and they determined he would need surgery to correct a bone spur / shave down his collar bone.  This morning Jim came and picked Jeff up at 5:45 AM to take him to Mount Carmel West.  Surgery started at 7:30 AM and was supposed to last 2 hours but ended up lasting almost 3 hours. Jeff was back home around noon and he was feeling pretty queasy. So he had some toast and saltines and seemed to feel a little bit better. It's going to be a long 2 weeks without the help of my partner! But I am going to do everything in my power to take as good of care of him as he does of me and the girls on a daily basis. Pray for a speedy recovery!

My two favorite baldies!

Chase's 3rd Birthday (Party)

Yesterday we celebrated Chase's 3rd birthday!

Daddy and Natalie all bundled up.

My beautiful little girl!

Gram and the birthday boy!

Samantha loved having her face painted.

Aunt Mandy and Grady!

The girls!

The man of the hour!

Grady and his Spiderman face!

Halloween!

Samantha picked out this butterfly costume all by herself.

Samantha got to dress up one day at school and they had a little Halloween parade.  Aunt Mandy and the boys stopped by to watch Samantha and she was so surprised.

She better love her "Mummy"!

Miss Lynne had a Halloween party too and this was Natalie's "costume"!

Trick-or-Treat night actually fell on Halloween this year. Despite it being really cold and rainy, Samantha was very excited to go out with her Daddy.

Natalie slept all through Trick-or-Treat but I was still able to get her in "her" costume before bed time.

Happy Halloween from The Hauser Girls!

Trick-or-Treating!

Anybody home?!?!?

Jeff said she told him she was tired and just sat right down for a little rest.

So excited to get CANDY!

Random sister pictures.

Natalie's first time in a high chair!

My girls sharing the iPad.

Natalie feeding herself puffs.

Natalie had a yeast infection so we tried to keep her naked as much as possible. She is just so dang cute!

Miss Lynne texted this picture to me the other day.  She is now officially pulling herself all the way up!

It is officially hat weather which is hard to adjust to when you have only been back from Florida for a week.

Last night Natalie pulled herself up on the couch!

Natalie's First Big Girl Bath.

Since Natalie was so good sitting up on the beach and loved playing in the water we decided it was time to put the baby tub away and graduate to the big tub.  She LOVED it...

...especially when her big sister HAD to get in there with her!

Siesta Key October 2012

A couple of weeks ago we packed up the family and headed to Florida.  It was so nice to have Jeff along for this trip down to Gram's.

On the airplane headed down to Florida.

We made it to Grams and after naps we went straight outside.  Natalie loved playing in the water.

Since the pool is getting cold, Samantha got in the baby pool with her sister.

The next morning we went to the main Siesta Key beach.  Natalie loved everything about being outside.

It is kind of hard to see but during low tide the water creates a pool area where Samantha can touch bottom. She was so happy to not have to wear any floats.

She really enjoyed being on the beach and having the freedom to run around.

Miss Natalie loved picking up the sand and trying to eat it!

My ballerina beach bum.

Natalie was in baby heaven getting to play in the water.

Look how picture perfect the water, blue sky and pretty 3 year old are.

Samantha playing in the water.

Miss Natalie is so mobile now. Not only can she crawl all over the place she is staring to pull herself up on her knee's to get a better view.

One of my favorite restaurants on the key is Turtles.  Jeff took Samantha down the boat dock at Turtles.  What a beautiful little girl!

She was checking out the view...right before sunset.

Natalie pulling herself on Thomas!

Jeff took Samantha out for a canoe ride on the canal.   After they circled back I got in with them and we went for a short ride on the water. Canoeing is harder than you think...

We went to the "little" beach one day since it is so much easier to get to the water with all our kid stuff. Samantha was really good about staying where she could touch bottom so we didn't make her wear her life jacket.

Gram and Natalie on the beach.

Mommy and Natalie playing in the water.

 The girls!

There is a First Watch near my mom's that is on a pond.  We were hoping to see an alligator but we just saw some turtle heads peeking out of the water.

For the first, time we took the La Barge sunset cruise. I have always gone on the 2 o'clock dolphin watch so this was a new experience for all of us.

There was live music on the boat and Samantha enjoyed dancing!

Mommy and her big girl!

Daddy and his daughters...doesn't he look proud?!?!

SUNSET

Mommy and her little girls!

Gram and Natalie!

Great Aunt MaryLou and my girls.

We went to the beach one afternoon after naps. It was so nice to not have to cover everyone in sunscreen!

Since Natalie LOVES eating sand; we brought the baby pool to the beach so she could play in the water without a sandy dinner.

Mom, Samantha and I stopped by the mall and Samantha got to ride a couple little rides.

Mom and Samantha on our last night.

In May when the girls and I came down we had an 8+ hour flight delay. This time it was smooth sailing flying!

Natalie took a little nap on her Mommy then Daddy got to spend the rest of the flight with a happy little girl.
